Dear Resident,

Here’s a quick round-up from myself and the Longbridge Team

Our Priorities

Anti-social behaviour, shop theft and drugs around the Longbridge retail and South & City College area. Concerns highlighted to local officers and from call data received to WMP with incidents to this locality.

We are experiencing an increase in robbery offences in Longbridge. Recent offences from Mid-October have been around the Rea Valley Route which runs from Arden Road, Frankley to Longbridge Retail Park.

A number of concerns reported of speeding and poor driving across the Longbridge area, There have also been reports of ASB on car parks around The Great Park.

What’s Been Happening?

Increased our presence to provide reassurance around school drop off and pick up times due to the social media posts circulating around School Wars. We have had conversations with children as they walked to and from school, given words of advice and listened to their opinions on the topic.

High visibility patrols on Longbridge Retail Park, continuing to engage with the youths and deterring any anti-social behaviour. Following a report this week, our Neighbourhood Officers conducted Stop Searches on youths and removed them from the site.

Visited the Longbridge Village to check in on the residents and we received some requests for crime prevention items which we will sort and deliver.

Regular high visibility patrols along the River Rea Route and through to Arden Walk and Shops.

It was great to join our StreetWatch Group out on patrol. Dedicated residents of their community to keeping the location they live in monitored and safe.
